Australian Members share the Grace they Received at Olivet Leadership Institute
Australian members gathered and shared the grace they received at the OLI, where the Bible studies explored very deeply Romans 5-8, salvation and the process of sanctification. God spoke to each member in a different way, and each person shared with a grateful heart.
Gonzalo: Before coming for this retreat, there was much real-life crisis that made me anxious and think that it’s not possible for me to attend the retreat. But while I was in the retreat, all the crises were resolved. I felt God is truly so merciful that He even removes all obstacles so that I am able to focus on what He is saying to me through the Bible studies.
Tiffany: I’m already in the world of grace, not in the world of guilt, self-torture, and condemnation. I’m no longer living in a world of judgment but in the world of grace. I no longer judge myself and others. I came to know about God’s love for others that’s so amazing, and I want to know God’s will towards us more, instead of my own view towards myself and others.
Pastor David: Through listening to the message on Romans, I realized the sin of disobedience and the sin of distrust. The one-man, the one act of righteousness that brought life was the act of obedience. It was not legalistic righteousness, but in trusting God and obeying until the end, because he knew the love of God. In the same way, our righteousness comes by faith and obedience through knowing the love of God.
Pastor Taylor: Through the messages, I also learned about obedience. I received prophesy that I need to be a servant of servants. By obeying to that, I could see God working to make the relationship between me and others are better, and the whole family can be transformed through my one obedience.
Chance: I learned about peace in suffering. Through suffering, we can grow in perseverance, and through that perseverance, which was following how Jesus also persevered in suffering, I can come to have the character of Jesus. It’s such a great blessing, and what’s more, we can become the hope of God, which is even a greater blessing. We can become God’s great joy, it is very touching and comforting to me.
